In honor of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month this May, the Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) is offering a series of events to celebrate and explore the vibrant cultures of the local Asian American & Pacific Islander community. 

The events are open to the public at no charge and are designed for all ages, with a special focus on interactive experiences, performances, and discussions.

From K-pop fandoms to Polynesian dance, and even a candid discussion about mental health in the Asian American & Pacific Islander community, Grand Rapids Public Library encourages you to be a part of these events.

Local experts, including AAPI Clinical Social Workers, will explore the impact of cultural identity
and the "Model Minority" stereotype on seeking mental health support.
